Upcoming Hallazgo (solo) concert in NYC: Valentines' Day, 9pm, at Sycamore in Brooklyn.  With Gym, Deer.  In between an ETHEL weekend at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, February 8-9, and another stint as the house band for TEDx Manhattan!

Okay, so now I am a member of ETHEL! How ridiculously cool is this!

Actually, I joined the band back in July, but have been so embarrassingly lax about updating my site that I hadn't said ANYTHING.  What a lame-o.  We've been absurdly busy!  I've just recorded and, with Russel Munson, mixed ETHEL's new 4-song EP that we'll be releasing in a couple of months.  Stay tuned!

Lots of awesome projects are in the works.  Karl Doty and I are planning a full-length K2 record, I've got some solo shows to confirm but dates will be posted presently, ETHEL has soooooo many unbelievable programs coming up.  And I am desperately in need of a new website.  If you know a cool developer, please drop a line! kipjones dot net at gmail dot com.  Help!

As a composer, the big deal for me is still the performance of my concerto by the unparallelled A Far Cry.  The performance can be found at
